Anoop Desai uses creative marketing to fund project

Season 8's Anoop Desai is employing the assistance of Kickstarter to fund the promotion of his self-produced debut CD. Anoop, who finished sixth, has set up a site called Help Anoop Desai Bring Back the Fidelity of the Human Voice, and is soliciting backers for Zero.0, the first part of a trilogy due to be released later this month.

Anoop has to raise $10K by April 6. Kickstarter requires a project reach its funding goal before the set deadline or the artist receives no money. So far, Anoop has raised $7,825.
